The Get REAL™ Program is designed to be a user friendly and upbeat way to learn about how to thrive, not just survive! With additional one-on-one sessions, the program is individualized for your specific health needs and challenges. With it's backbone in nutrition, the program uses many health care modalities to address the many facets of healing. We work with obesity, diabetes, heart disease, menopause, depression/anxiety, cancer, gluten intolerance, food allergies, and much more. We strive to meet you on comfortable ground and help you to develop a path to foster health which you know you can follow for years to come.
How is this program different from others out there? We focus on the long view of health This is NOT a temporary weight loss program, this is a program that focuses on your long term health. Have you been recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes? Does cardiovascular disease run in your family? Have you been dieting most of your adult life? Are you confused about all the conflicting information on what to eat and how to move? Yo-yo dieting sets you up for long term metabolic disaster.
DIETING DOESN’T WORK Putting your focus on developing good health and maintaining it for a lifetime takes the pressure off many details that will resolve along the way. Remember that you cannot tell the health of a person simply by their shape or their scale weight.
This isn’t about starving or deprivation or being fixated on a clothing size. It’s about expanding your vision of health to include fun, decadence, and enjoyment all while creating lasting health.
Group Workshops: 8 week workshops on recovering a healthier and more vibrant YOU. You will come away with a new understanding of how to attain and maintain your health, a healthy weight, how to create an eating and lifestyle plan that works for you, and a notebook chock full of up to date information, recipes, and guidance. We will also go on a field trip to a local grocery store to apply this new knowledge to your shopping list! The course is focused on what it takes to become and stay healthy in today’s world.
Weekly Workshop Topics Include:
Class size: minimum 6 participants, maximum 18 participants
★ Individual sessions with our practitioners to develop EXACTLY what you need including nutrition consultation, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, personal training, naturopathy, and integrative medicine
★ a full 15 week program, with one-on-one instruction and completely individualized recommendations for eating plans, regular bio-electrical impedance analysis to determine body composition change (where available), fitness instruction and coaching, stress management, and psycho-emotional and lifestyle change support.
★ a second 15 weeks focusing on solidly establishing your new habits while staying connected with practitioners who can help support each other through these lifestyle changes.
★ 6 and 12 month maintenance packages consist of monthly checkin appointments with the nutritionist and personal trainer to help keep you on track with your program. A little extra accountability and support can be extremely helpful!
★ Traveling Intensive 4 day version of the course taught by Kia Sanford MS CN around the country
★ Healthy Workforce Programs available for local business groups. Institute the Get REAL™ Program to reduce workman’s compensation claims and hours lost due to poor health.
★ In development: “Living Well” Focus Groups/Classes on: Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Metabolic Syndrome, Thyroid Disorders, Menopause, Athlete Issues, and Allergies
